Stairway to Heaven

This is a picture capturing one of the most impactful songs ever written: Stairway to Heaven, by Led Zeppelin. The lyrics (set in a font that has just the right amount of curl and angle) are placed around the beautiful stairway that ascends into the sky. Pictures of the now disbanded band's members are placed in each corner. They were cropped and made mostly transparent--evident, but not distracting. Clockwise from upper left: Robert Plant, the late John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page.

Surge

An abstract simply made with rectangles and ellipses, save for one free-drawn blob. The image depicts a sense of movement toward this blob. The rectangles progress forward into the spot-infested blob, leaving the green dots behind. A black bar was added to show a sort of dividing point.

Tennis

Five cropped images of my friend (and a tennis ball) playing tennis. One is the original, while the other four are edited with filters.

This beacon is located in Mackinac Island Harbor. I cropped a TIE Fighter out of a picture, and rotated and/or flipped it to achieve the desired angles. The explosion was also cropped, and placed in the appropriate position, in accordance with which TIE's were firing. The lasers are simply reddish lines.

Crop

This photo is of an 8th grade football game. The running back was making his way across the field, which allowed for cropping at an angle to give a sense of his intended direction.

Panorama

These photos picture our house and some surrounding lawn. The photo that is second in from the left is the only one of the five that makes for awkward viewing.

Explosive

A picture of an explosion was taken, and the word "Explosive" added. "Explosive" was then warped/bent, and a windblown filter was added. These help the text to appear to be ebbing with the blast.

Perspective

These photos focus on the American Flag on the front of our house. The first was taken from the side, gazing across the flag. The second was taken at a sharp upward angle, making the flag appear massive. The third was taken from a distance and at an angle to show its environment.

Thirds

This photo was taken on out deck behind our house. The focus point is my mother, who is accompanied by her book and one of our dogs. They reside at the conjunction of the right-most and bottom-most section.

CN Tower

This was created from my previous project using the CN Tower. I went back and added a Predator effect, along with a flare.
